Snow, sleet, rain in forecast Saturday through Monday

A storm system could bring wintry weather to the region Saturday night into Monday. A mixture of snow, sleet and rain is expected.

Here is the latest forecast from the National Weather Service:

Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low around 29. North wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph.

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 38. North wind 10 to 13 mph.

Friday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 24. North wind 6 to 8 mph.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 40. North wind around 6 mph.

Saturday Night: Snow likely, mainly after 5 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 26. Light and variable wind. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Sunday: Snow and sleet before 1 p.m., then rain, snow, and sleet between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m., then rain after 2 p.m. High near 38. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Sunday Night: Rain likely before 5 a.m., then snow likely. Cloudy, with a low around 31. Chance of precipitation is 70%.

 

Monday: Snow before 8 a.m., then rain between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m., then rain and snow likely after 3 p.m. High near 39. Chance of precipitation is 80%.

 

Monday Night: Rain and snow likely before 8 p.m., then a chance of snow between 8 p.m. and 1 a.m. Cloudy, with a low around 26. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

 

Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 39.

 

Tuesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 25.

 

Wednesday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 41.
