Police reports on the following crashes in Schuylkill County:

• Two people were transported to the Reading Hospital after a crash at 11:34 a.m. Oct. 6 on State Route 183 in Wayne Township, Schuylkill County, according to state police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks.

Police said the mishap occurred when a 2003 Jeep operated by Lisa Cecchini, 44, of Auburn, was southbound on the route and began to rotate clockwise as it traveled through a curve. The Jeep traveled into the oncoming lane and struck at Chevrolet Impala operated by Peter Shellong, 72, of Schuylkill Haven.

Police said the vehicles sustained disabling damages.

Cecchini was cited for failure to drive at a safe speed.

• No one was hurt in a two-vehicle crash at 6:36 p.m. Oct. 6 on Route 61 in North Manheim Township, according to state police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks.

It happened when a 2005 Pontiac G6 operated by Amanda M. McClintock, 37, of Pottsville, was south bound and attempted to stop on the wet roadway for a steady red light. Police said the front end of the Pontiac struck the rear end of a 2013 Dodge Ram driven by Matthew T. DeMarco, 33, of Lattimer Mines.

Police were assisted at the scene by the West Brunswick Fire Department.

Police said McClintock was issued a citation for operating the Pontiac without it having an official certificate on inspection.

• A 2001 Chevrolet Tracker needed to be towed from the scene of a one-vehicle crash at 5:06 p.m. Oct. 3 on Route 61 in Blythe Township.

State police at Frackville said the driver, George E. Kerstetter, 62, of Trevorton, was cited for driving the vehicle without having a certificate of registration or title.

Police said he was northbound in the Tracker and attempted to pass a vehicle ahead of him in the right lane. Police said as he was merging into the left lane, the Tracker sustained mechanical problem with its steering mechanism, causing the vehicle to swerved and spin before impacting the guide rail and coming to a halt.

• A deer was the cause of a one-vehicle crash in Schuylkill County early Sunday morning.

State police at Frackville said Daniel D. Rodriguez, 29, of Pottsville, was driving a 2011 Kia Sportage southbound on Peach Mountain Road in Norwegian Township about 4:16 a.m. when he struck a deer which was in the middle of the road.

Rodriquez was not injured. The Kia was towed.
