Heavy rainfall, damaging winds possible Tuesday

A storm system will impact the region on Tuesday. Storms will be capable of producing damaging winds, tornadoes, large hail, and heavy rainfall that could lead to localized flash flooding.

Today: Mostly sunny, with a high near 83. Calm wind becoming southwest 5 to 8 mph in the morning.

Tonight: A slight chance of showers after midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 65. Light southwest wind. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Tuesday: Showers and thunderstorms likely before 2 p.m., then showers and possibly a thunderstorm between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m., then showers and thunderstorms after 5 p.m. Some of the storms could produce small hail, gusty winds, and heavy rain. High near 80. Calm wind becoming southwest around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Tuesday Night: Showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 11 p.m. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. Low around 65. North wind 3 to 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.

Wednesday: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 80. North wind 3 to 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Wednesday Night: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly cloudy, with a low around 61. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Thursday: A chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 2 p.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 80. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
